Start at the greenmarket

I passed this market almost every day on my way to class at Baruch. It's still my favorite proof of a simple idea: the most sustainable city is one where you can walk to what you need — local growers, small businesses, streets built for people. That idea is what I study now, and what I build for.

Then take the stairs.

A curated guide to local spots north of 14th. Check in where you actually stand, earn XP, get roasted for tourist traps.

AI · Automation

Compliance, automated

My day job is compliance at a major streaming platform. A lot of it is building automations that handle the repetitive parts, so human attention goes where judgment is actually needed.

Neighborhood-scale economies as climate infrastructure. Walkable is low-carbon.

Baruch College

Political science, with minors in business and information technology, a block off the 23 St platform. Internships along the way — a fintech startup, the Mayor's Office — taught me how the city actually runs, and how much room there is to make it run better.

NBCUniversal

Compliance analyst on Peacock's streaming technology team. The short version: I work on what keeps a large platform trustworthy — who has access to what, and how to make those processes smarter through automation.

The summer before, I was one stop south at Paramount, on the cloud infrastructure team.

Columbia

M.A. in Climate and Society at the Climate School, finishing August 2026. It's the greenmarket question at a wider scale: how communities stay livable, and who decides. Coursework runs from machine learning to data justice — the same questions I run into at work, from a different angle.

Ninety-three blocks north of where I started. Next stop: compliance, trust & safety, and AI governance work at a company that takes it seriously.
